Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Test Pilot to support Production Flight Testing in Mesa, AZ. This contract-based role involves conducting critical flight operations and maintenance checks to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft post-production, modification, or maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC) , in-flight troubleshooting/verifications, and Maintenance Test Flights (MTF) on rotary-wing aircraft.
• Ensure airworthiness following production build or significant maintenance/disassembly.
• Conduct flight crew and maintenance team briefings for ongoing operations.
• Operate and reference technical documentation including IETMs, Operator's Manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manuals, and Check-List Manuals.
• Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) during maintenance flight operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the AH-64E Apache Longbow Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC) or equivalent contractor training approved by a Government Flight Representative (GFR).
• Completion of the AH-64 Aviation Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I and II , or approved equivalency by the US Army Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization (DES).
• Minimum 1,000 flight hours as AH-64D/E Pilot-in-Command.
• Minimum 100 flight hours as AH-64D/E Maintenance Test Pilot.
• Must possess a current Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical with at least six (6) months validity upon hire.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to provide updated medical certifications for compliance.
• Currency requirements met per AH-64D/E Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) within 30 days of onboarding.
• Previous experience operating the AH-64E helicopter in desert environments.
• Former Maintenance Examiner (ME) for AH-64D/E aircraft.
• Experience as an AH-64 Technical Inspector .
• 10+ years of aviation maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of Production Control (PC Lead) experience on AH-64D/E aircraft.
• 3+ years of aviation maintenance supervisory experience.
• 5+ years experience using ULLS-A(E)/ACN or similar aviation maintenance management systems.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of related experience
• OR Master’s degree and 7+ years of related experience
• OR PhD and 4+ years of related experience
• Degree must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
