Tidewater Volleyball Association (TVA) is proud to provide high-quality volleyball training opportunities for over 1,000 athletes in Virginia.
The Volleyball Club Coordinator will directly impact the athlete's improvement and curriculum enhancement to keep our club program running smoothly. You will also ensure that our training curriculums are well crafted and efficient by monitoring athletes' performance, coordinating skill and performance assessments, and communicating and learning with other coaching team members. TVA's number of programs and athletes generates a constant stream of challenges that require you to continually be innovative with an evolving set of volleyball training methods and sports technologies. Keeping our volleyball training up to date and efficiently ensures the growth of our athletes and, in turn, volleyball.
Purpose: The purpose of the position is to oversee and grow youth club program of the organization, primarily girls’ travel teams, strength and conditioning, mental training and specialty camps but will also have responsibility for other programs as identified.

Description of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Works closely with the boys' travel Director to continuously improve coaching methodologies and assure TVA is providing “state of the art” coaching to our teams.
2. Supervises coaches and assistant coaches for girls’ travel teams ensuring all girls’ coaches are consistent with the TVA playbook and provide uniform and consistent coaching across ages and developmental levels. Will work evenings during juniors’ season to observe practices and ensure coaching expectations are met.
3. Ensures a high level of communication with all coaches. Provides development opportunities ensuring an ongoing pipeline of coaches.
4. Facilitates logistics surrounding strength and conditioning and mental training for juniors working with third party providers to offer the best product possible.
5. Builds relationships with high school coaches and any other related individuals (i.e. parks and recreation) to facilitate growth.
6. Identify and implement opportunities to grow programs at TVA, i.e. clinics, special camps, etc.
7. Acts as substitute coach for programs as needed, primarily as a stand-in when unexpected scheduling conflicts arise.
8. As needed, completes a variety of administrative tasks related to junior’s programs i.e. generating rosters, making travel arrangements, tournament entries, program evaluation surveys, uniform purchase, etc.
9. Responsible for managing budgets for program areas.
10. Collaborates with marketing/communications staff to ensure information posted to website and distributed through email and social media related to areas of responsibility remains current and timely.
11. Represent Tidewater Volleyball Association in a professional manner.
