Job Title: Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor

Location: Durham, CT

Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $85,000 to $95,000

Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (with some half days on Fridays)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor to oversee all warehouse operations, optimize internal processes, and lead the team to meet the company’s goal of 99% on-time delivery. This role requires a hands-on leader who embraces change, drives improvement, and fosters a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning:

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve 99% on-time delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, production, and other teams.
• Address delays and apply corrective actions quickly.

Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff for peak efficiency.
• Ensure team is cross-trained and audit order accuracy.
• Complete annual performance evaluations
• Maintain CTPAT compliance.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee receiving, storing, and organizing materials.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintains accurate records.
• Minimize inventory errors and material losses.

Process Optimization:

• Review and improve warehouse layouts and processes.
• Reduce lead times and improve operational flow.

Quality Control:

• Enforce quality standards for all outbound shipments.
• Resolve shipping issues with carriers and account reps.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce warehouse safety regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and training.

Reporting:

• Complete bills of lading and notify full trailer shipments.
• Track performance metrics and report findings to management.

Organizational Skills:

• Manage task priorities and maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Lead 7S audits and maintain 90%+ score.

Qualifications:

• College degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse/logistics experience
• Preferred Certifications:
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
• Certified Warehouse Logistics Professional (CWLP)
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
