Job Description

This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician in a short-term acute care facility. The technician will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The position requires independence, competence, and the ability to work without significant supervision. Prior travel experience is not required.

Responsibilities:

- Preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing area.
- Ensuring proper functioning of sterilization equipment.
- Following all safety regulations and infection control procedures.
- Managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Working independently and efficiently without significant supervision.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and competently.
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Prior experience in sterile processing.

Special Considerations:

- No on-call, weekend, or block scheduling requirements.
- Four-week schedule with minimal anticipated changes.
- No specific experience with travel is required, but competency and independence are essential.

Scheduling:

- Four-week schedule.
- Set schedule for the duration of the contract.
- Flexibility is appreciated but drastic changes are not anticipated.
