Job Description

Compensation: $100K–$150K
Location: Midland, TX (Onsite, 5 days a week)
Position: Sr. System Administrator

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sr. System Administrator to join their team! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, agile organization that has seen significant M&A activity in the past two years. While the company is well-established, it maintains a close-knit, collaborative culture where team members are not siloed and communication is open across departments. This is a new addition to the team, and they’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, interested in cloud infrastructure, and eager to help shape policy and security across a fully Azure-based environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support a Windows-based infrastructure with over 150 servers across multiple remote sites and a core data center.

• Implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.

• Collaborate with IT leadership and peer teams to plan and execute infrastructure initiatives and upgrades.

• Manage data protection strategies, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Maintain technical documentation and assist with security policies, audits, and compliance requirements.

• Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Utilize automation tools (e.g., PowerShell or Python) for administration and efficiency improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience administering Windows environments in enterprise settings.

• 5+ years of experience in virtualization and backup/recovery technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, and cloud environments like Azure.

• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools.

• Strong understanding of system architecture, troubleshooting methodologies, and networking fundamentals.

• Experience participating in or supporting security audits.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with SCADA systems or Operational Technology environments.

• Familiarity with the Purdue Model and network segmentation practices.

• Exposure to Linux environments (even if from personal projects).

• Experience with IAM, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
