Position Overview: Product Manager

The Product Manager (PM), US is responsible for organizing and implementing effective global business product plans to drive US market growth. This position will provide regular critical US strategic product input related to the long-term development and success of Silhouette products and their life cycle management. As part of the Global Product Management Team and working together with the US Senior Management Team, the PM will support US product and pricing strategy and the roadmap to ensure that the product meets customer needs and achieves business goals. The product manager will be a collaborative partner with US Sales on annual product budget and demand forecasting and will have responsibility for US inventory control.

With a collaborative effort between Global headquarters and US Sales Management, the product manager will translate, define and communicate product details, features and benefits to our sales and service teams. This position will execute releases and coordinate teams to achieve company results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Global Product Strategy & Market Influence

  • Gather and analyze internal and external feedback to understand the market needs. Prepare and communicate proper argumentation for presentation to Global Marketing, Product and Production decision makers.
  • Conduct regular national field visits and attend key industry events to gather insights on US market needs across diverse U.S. geographies.
  • Strategize and align with global product management team in person at Austrian HQ locations and remotely through regular meeting schedule.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of regional market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to inform product strategy and business decisions. Utilize industry market surveys as available and review/maintain product market research

Strategic Product Portfolio Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual product plans, pricing and facing strategies, and forecasts aligned with global direction and U.S. sales input.
  • Manage and communicate a clear product roadmap, outlining future development, current releases and sunsetting strategies.
  • Drive the annual product release calendar, ensuring seamless cross-functional execution and stakeholder alignment.

Smart, Agile Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with global and senior leaders on collection planning, demand forecasting, and life cycle management to meet US customer demands in order to maximize sales and minimize obsolescence.
  • Align closely with Sales and Finance on ordering strategy, sample coordination, and agile forecasting.
  • Manage consignment/sample inventory to support commercial effectiveness while minimizing excess.

Data-Driven Product Performance Optimization

  • Own performance analysis across the entire U.S. product portfolio—by segment, collection, and trend.
  • Leverage analytics to produce insightful reporting across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead or support high-impact projects and strategic deep dives as directed by the Senior Management Team.

Education : BA or BS degree in Marketing, Business or related degree is required.

Experience: 5+ years business experience preferably in wholesale consumer goods or product management.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds, push, pull, sit, stand, bend and twist as necessary.

Travel Requirements : Domestic and International travel required as needed. This includes substantial presence in NYC and regular field market visits throughout the US. Travel to Austrian headquarter location at least twice per year or as needed.
