Job Description

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for designing and creating innovative, commercially viable products that deliver value and style as well as sustain the development, evolution and communication of looks that supports and deepens the brand value and identity.

Duties

  • Collaborate with Director in developing seasonal concepts
  • Collaboration with the Director & CAD designer to create and develop seasonal print stories
  • Develop on-brand, trend-right product that drives equity and profitability for the Levi’s® brand and upholds our aesthetic standards.
  • Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals.
  • Manage creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples and production.
  • Strategize and drive GTM timelines, process, and deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, or a combination of college education and industry related work experience may be used as a substitute
  • 8+ yrs experience as a designer, responsible for all facets of design and development
  • Expertise in textiles and product development; strong working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabric construction, fabric finishing techniques, and processes
  • Proficient on all design platforms – Adobe CC and PLM program
  • MS Office proficiency, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast paced environment and an ability to not become frustrated with last minute changes
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior level directors
  • Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • Must demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest
