Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Aerial Fiber to lead, coordinate, and manage complex aerial fiber projects across North Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, and the Inland Empire . This leadership role is responsible for aligning internal teams, ensuring project execution meets scope, schedule, and budget targets, and driving operational excellence in the field. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of aerial fiber projects, including design coordination, scheduling, planning, and construction.
• Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and upper management—ensuring transparency and efficiency.
• Conduct deployment meetings and lead cross-functional teams (site acquisition, engineering, and construction).
• Track progress and maintain up-to-date project documentation and reports.
• Manage project budgets and ensure financial accuracy—including cost control and variance tracking.
• Make regular site visits for walk-throughs, inspections, and construction oversight.
• Guide general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to meet company and client standards.
• Evaluate prevailing construction rates to ensure competitive pricing and top-tier workmanship.
• Uphold strict compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
• Leverage internal project tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and project visibility.
• Build strong client relationships that position Motive as a preferred service provider.
• Collaborate on bid proposals, procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Approve timecards, budgets, and requisitions in alignment with project scopes.
• Attend industry events and customer meetings to represent Motive and gather strategic insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on Engineering, Network Operations, or Construction Management.
• Proven leadership on large-scale, multi-phase aerial fiber projects .
• Strong financial acumen—capable of managing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• In-depth knowledge of small cell, fiber backhaul, OSP construction, public ROW, and aerial deployments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with Smartsheets and SharePoint preferred.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, project schedules, and financial reports.
• Comfortable in both office and field settings, with regular travel to job sites.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management , Engineering , or Business Administration strongly preferred.
• Project management certifications a plus.

Compensation: $115K-125K
